Financial Management

TSol’s Finance, Planning and Performance (FPP) team of 27 has all the responsibilities of supporting a government department to manage and report finance and performance. The variety of work offered by TSol’s Finance, Planning and Performance division is very diverse when compared to finance roles in some larger organisations. At the 2012 Government Finance Profession Awards FPP was awarded “Finance Team of the Year “ We are looking to recruit someone to join our graduate accountancy trainee scheme. This would involve a series of placements in real jobs to ensure practical experience required by the professional bodies. It would involve a 3-4 year programme of study towards a professional accountancy qualification ( ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA qualification.) Tailored management, leadership and interpersonal skills training will also be provided and a mentor who is a qualified accountant. Once qualified there is a range of great career opportunities. We are looking for someone who is bright and ambitious and a finance leader of the future. We are looking for someone with 2:1 degree who is self-motivated, determined and ambitious and is prepared to move between posts, to progress their career. A generous study package will be provided including study leave, course, membership and examination fees. The entry level is Executive Officer with the opportunity for progression as your competences and qualifications develop. Essential Criteria (Key competences) Developing and Managing People – TSol level 1-2 • I am aware of my individual strengths and areas for improvement and take responsibility for my development. • Encourage and be open to development feedback from others. Resource Management – TSol level 1-2 • Understand that all actions have a cost and choose the most effective to way to do something in a resource effective manner. Analysis – TSol level 1- 2 • Examine complex information and obtain further information to make accurate decisions. • I present the outcomes of my analysis adapting my communication style to the needs of the audience. Leadership – TSol level 1-2 • I am able to prioritise the things that I do and make sure that they are done. • Display enthusiasm around goals and activities – adopting a positive approach when interacting with others. Professional Skills – TSol level 1-2 • 2:1 Degree. • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
