Head - Business Development- Oil, Gas & Hydrocarbo

The overall purpose of this role is to identify business opportunities for the SBU in line with its Business Strategy and bag orders thereby helping it achieve its immediate and future top and bottom line targets. In pursuit of this role, the incumbent is expected to perform the following broad roles: Develop contacts with prospective clients, consultants, major manufactures of equipment, vendors. Identify potential business areas, customers through various contacts/ agents/media, assess the long- term and short-term growth of the market. Participate effectively in technical and commercial meetings with the client and consultant and bring it to logical conclusion. Benchmark information with respect to competitors, market/industry trends, creats market intelligence, segmentation for similar projects and develops strategy to win contracts. Work on the details of projects including technical, commercial, possible risks and mitigation of risks. Collect information on site conditions, about available contractors, applicable taxes through various contacts hired consultants. Take such deviation in which company's interests can be better protected in the pre bid stage. Prepare cost estimates and submit the bids after management approval. Attend pre award post bid meetings for technical commercial negotiations. The ideal candidate should fulfill the following specs: Expertise in business development of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Oil, Gas, Chemicals and Fertilizer projects. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Knowledge of public relation principals and practice. Ability to identify and secure funding/ revenue sources. Highly networked with officials at all the levels in government and private business partners. Ability to motivate terms and simultaneously manage several tenders. Salary:Best in the Industry.
