Trade Marketing Associate Director/ Director

Overall responsibility for presenting a sales ready and globally consistent value proposition for SingTel digital marketing opportunities (Mobile, PC & IPTV) to the trade audience (including but not limited to media and advertising agencies and direct clients), internal business units and media sales teams. The role is specifically responsible for producing marketing materials that build awareness of the advertising opportunities at SingTel and positioning SingTel advertising as global thought leaders.

The role must compile a comprehensive picture of country business and sales objectives and then establish and implement marketing and communication activity that is both measurable and tangible and adds significant value to local business. This role must also ensure that the local marketing budgets support a coherent and coordinated market position, leverage best practice pan-regionally and demonstrate cost effective spend.

  1. Marketing and Communication Strategy and Planning
    • Work with SingTel business leads to develop a communication strategy that can be consistently executed throughout the region.
    • Develop and evolve globally consistent marketing value propositions for the key elements of the SingTel portfolio of services covering both communication and information services.
    • Manage a brand tracking program that reports back on the image and reputation of SingTel and its affiliates in country and provide timely and relevant feedback to enable the refinement and development of the Trade marketing plans.
    • Define and implement communications strategies that will support a differentiated SingTel brand position that sets us apart from the competition.
    • Produce marketing communication plan that integrates activity across the country and demonstrates viable measurement opportunities.
    • Attend quarterly Trade Marketing meetings that facilitate update opportunities and best practice sharing.
  2. Implementation of Marketing and Communications
    • Identify the most effective channels to communicate to our audiences who we are and what we stand for in the marketplace.
    • Working with the local LOB leads to develop the GTM plans for all product launches and updates
    • Build a comprehensive array of sales collateral (including relevant case studies) to support the SingTel product set that can be leveraged by the sales team.
    • Identify and coordinate suitable events that drive agency, client and prospect communication opportunities (e.g iMedia, ad:tech, Sales Summits)
    • Identify and implement opportunities to measure the impact of Trade Marketing activities.
  3. Develop, plan & execute an internal process and Go-To-Market (GTM) programmes to promote existing and new products to internal revenue sales teams and our target audience of advertisers.
    • Strengthen internal communications structure by working closely with sales and product teams to identify areas of underperformance, design and deliver internal promotional activity and monthly internal newsletter to support these areas
    • Work closely with product teams to understand product and product development plans in order to communicate these to clients.
    • Development of GTM campaigns and supporting materials that create buzz and deliver against agreed objectives. This includes briefing and managing external agencies and contributing content to the monthly customer newsletter and other external advertising platforms.
    • Liaising with PR manager to ensure that GTM campaigns are supported through appropriate and effective PR activity.
    • Close liaison with trade marketing managers within the SingTel Group and overseas affiliates to ensure that activity is designed for maximum impact and to be leveraged across markets
    • Measuring the impact of all activities
    • Management of spend against budget 
  • Degree with at least 7 years of experience with 3 to 5 years in a regional supervisory position
  • Effectively bilingual in English and a 2nd language
  • Knowledge of the media industry in particular digital
  • Sharp Business acumen, interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills along with the ability to influence
  • Good relationships with major industry players
  • Understanding of mobile industry
