Tire Mechanic

Removes and installs tire and rim assemblies from class 6, 7, & 8 trucks, trailers and convertor dolly. Uses hydraulic jacks and jack stands to gain access to the unit and to aid in the removal or replacement of tire assemblies. Moves, operates, lifts, stores, and uses specialized equipmet, including personal and company and and power tools, shop machines and devices to perform inspections, adjustments, repair or maintenance work to tires and rims. Operates a company service truck to repair tires outisde our maintenanc facility.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

    *
      Tire Mechanic experience

    *
      Understand and carry out oral and written instructions and/or repair orders to determine the work that has been performed and that still needing to be done.
    *
      Utilize manufacturer's service manuals and bulletins and company directives to determine equipment specifications and repair procedures.
    *
      Ability to perform work required in a timely manner in order to meet service schedules and commitments
    *
      Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
    *
      Computer literate (Word, Excel, Email)
