Sales Director

 Job Description:

Playing a pivotal role in supporting company growth, the Regional Sales Director (RSD) develops and executes strategic territory (Eastern region - TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, OH - living in one of these states) plans that result in the successful sale of NextGen’s product and service offerings.  The Regional Sales Director is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Executive/C-level suite, clinicians (physicians and nursing), patient experience and marketing leadership and other key stakeholders.  Ideal candidates possess a successful track record of growing a business, building critical relationships and in influencing decision makers.  Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.  The Regional Sales Director may be located anywhere within this territory.

Required Skills:

    * Minimum of 5-7 years selling HIS (Hospital Information Systems) to include either Financial Management Systems or Electronic Health Records to hospitals, with a minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable quota performance
    * The Regional Sales Director must be highly motivated self-starters with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, formal presentation skills before small and large groups, demonstrated problem solving ability and negotiation skills (with special emphasis on closing sales), experience managing territories and state-of-the-art products, good follow-through and time management skills, and attention to detail.
    * Required travel is approximately 70% - 80% of the job.

Desired Skills:

    * Attended Miller Heimen training courses
    * Familiar with CRM databases like Salesforce for managing sales opportunities
    * Excellent public speaking skills
    * Familiar with Strategic selling initiatives.
    * Excellent skills with using Microsoft Applications, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Required Education (including certifications):

    * Bachelor's degree
    * Minimum of 3 years of healthcare related sales experience, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and a willingness to work extended hours to achieve goals

Desired Education:

    * Extensive sales training courses such as Miller Heiman
    * Proven sales track record with competing HIS company
