Product Manager
Job Description:
* Responsible for creating, developing and executing product plans/roadmap for NextGen EHR/KBM clinical content with clear understanding of market direction, revenue targets, technology trends, competitive positioning, current NextGen Portfolio suite, and other variables impacting product strategy
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise with respect to the competition, industry standards,
* Analyst market positioning and emerging technologies
* Liaise with clients, prospects and other constituencies in a matrixed role, developing and managing business plan requirements, software specification documents, etc. in collaboration with R&D
* Independently develop internal and external product business & communications plan
* Manage the content and coordination of documentation and training for internal personnel
* on new products, processes for implementation, training, support, and sales to clients
* Execute and manage training to external clients when rolling out new products
* Responsible and accountable for commercialization projects, including execution of plans to manage other NextGen resources to assist in roll-out activities and adoption
* Responsible as the main point of contact for sales and clients during initial product roll-out
* Engage in and lead beta programs & reference sites for new releases or product roll-outs
* Provide departmental and company leadership to help develop and execute a practical and lean process for Product Management that improves teamwork, market focus and TTM execution of all downstream team members and functional department
* Track all closed opportunities and develop P&Ls for Clinical Content partners – work closely with Sales to develop pricing models and forecasts
* Independently work with Business Development to identify buy or partner opportunities, partnership management and licensing opportunities with external third parties related to Clinical content activities
* Develop and manage KBM Content certification program
* Independently prepare reports for company, industry analysts and clients, documenting Product release and status
* Travel to and present Clinical Content Strategy at client sites, trade shows, or other vendors/industry events such as user group meetings
Required Skills:
* Prior Product Management experience on a clinical application
* Product Life Cycle Development/Management
* Clinical workflow analysis and background
* Understanding of Forms Design/Build and Reports Design/Build
* Command of human factors and industry standards of data presentation
* Excellent organizational skills
* Excellent Multi-tasking skills
* Ability to manage internal/external customer expectations
* Ability to network and work across teams
* Detail oriented
* Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer focus
* Ability to deal with stressful situations
* MS Project experience to create Project Plans to track and communicate project plans
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Ability to create concise communications to all levels of the Company
* Ability to effect change across multiple organization departments
* Familiarity with NextGen products and interfaces
* Familiarity with clinical content providers
* Exposure to multiple databases
* Experience managing technical resources
* Agile Software Development experience
* HIT Clinical Integration experience
* Prior management of staff, or significant lead role experience
Desired Skills:
* Project Management experience preferred
Required Education (including Certifications):
* Clinical Degree - RN Preferred
* DBA, Informatics, or other technical certification
