HR Generalist
Essential Job Functions:
* Develop, administer and interpret policies and procedures (e.g., vacation service credit review and approval, DOT compliance, non-DOT Drug and Alcohol corporate wide implementation, etc.)
* Develop, coordinate and communicate process for FMLA and other leaves of absences (e.g., PEO notification, employee notification, etc.)
* Coordinate annual Benefits renewal process with our PEO and assess cost effectiveness compared with possible benefits alternatives
* Coordinate preparation of the Affirmative Action Plan with outside vendor and provide or assist in providing associated management training
* Serve as Relocation Coordinator for all relocations working with employees and external relocation service provider (ARSI)
* Conduct HR investigations as necessary
* Recommend, organize and coordinate in-house employee training programs, as necessary
* Participate in and/or lead special projects or other HR related assignments as required by the Company’s growth and new HR initiatives (e.g., Total Benefits Statements, etc.)
* Serve as backup for the Payroll and Stock Plan Administrator
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in human resources, business or related field
* Minimum 2 years of benefits experience
* Minimum 5 years exempt level HR experience
* Experience in writing company policies and procedures
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of all HR related information
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
* Oil and gas experience
* PHR designation
* Experience with payroll or stock plan administration
* Experience with HRIS systems implementation or upgrade
* Experience with conducting investigations
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
* Detail oriented with ability to prioritize multiple projects
* Strong diplomacy skills and ability to persuasively influence outcomes
