Product Manager


    * Develop tools, knowledge and training content to help sales teams become more knowledgeable, and more competitive, playing offense in the marketplace.
    * Become the expert relating to competitor's products, functionality, pricing and strategy in the North American patient monitoring market, with an emphasis on informatics.
    * Become the expert relating to the functionality of Spacelabs Healthcare patient monitoring and informatics products.
    * Collaborate with the sales force and global marketing to ensure that North America’s needs and interests are clearly understood and communicated to R&D.
    * Work across multiple functional areas of Spacelabs to create high impact, thorough product launches.  
    * Develop and execute a sound value proposition for new and existing monitoring products.
    * Analyze primary and secondary market research.
    * Communicate key product development priorities to marketing and R&D teams.
    * Develop and deliver training programs to field and internal personnel.
    * Monitor, analyze, summarize, and communicate product performance by channel in North America; track unit volumes, average selling prices, profitability and market share.
    * Develop and maintain appropriate product positioning by observing and analyzing market and competitive trends.
    * Develop and maintain contacts with field, users and opinion leaders as appropriate.
    * Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party organizations and OEM providers.
    * Attend and support major industry trade shows and scientific conventions.
    * Stay current with industry literature, emerging applications and market demographics.
    * Gain knowledge about potential new technologies.
    * Track and anticipate competitive developments.
    * Performs other duties as assigned.



    * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or health related field, with minimum of 7 years experience in medical marketing/product management. Master’s degree preferred.
    * Successful track record in medical marketing of capital equipment with a high level of expertise regarding the healthcare environment including key decision makers in the capital procurement process.
    * IT or Clinical Informatics experience required.
    * Sales experience is a big plus, but is not required.
    * Clinical experience is a big plus, but is not required.
    * Proven performance and proven ability to lead teams.
    * Demonstrated ability to manage a complex network of relationships both within and outside company.
    * Excellent communication and presentation skills: listening, written, verbal
    * Strong sense of initiative, self-starter.
    * Experience working with R&D and marketing in product development.
    * Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
    * Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
    * 75% travel expected if based outside of Seattle, WA
