Business Planning & Analysis PCEM

The Associate Director of BPA for the Primary Care (PC) and Established Medicines (EM) Business Unit supports financial control, planning, and performance tracking for the Established Medicines portfolio and PCEM partnership brands (through “Other Revenues” P&L line), including budgeting, forecasting/demand planning and financial analysis.
This role is further fully responsible for the development and update of the National Net Sales fore-casts and resulting Demand Plans for the Brain and Bone Franchise (Exelon Patch, Reclast), in close collaboration with the Director BP&A/Brain & Bone.
In addition, this position will be the PCEM finance liaison with the FF COE and the PCEM Field organization for all BP&A matters related to Call Plan development and Field IC goal setting.
Finally, this role will assume the process leadership for the development of PCEM 5 year Strategic Plan, including coordination and ownership of all Strat Plan review materials.
Minimum requirements    Financial Planning/Sales Forecasting/Demand Planning
• Lead the development of Short- Medium and Long-term financial plans for Established Medicines Franchise while partnering with Franchise Marketing Head. Work with various functions (Brand teams, CSO, Managed Markets Finance,...) to develop National Net Sales outlook for Budget, LE and Risk and Opps dialogue. Support timely, fact based decision making within the supported Franchise, consistently challenging business assumptions. Provide decision support for the eval-uation of Authorized Generic opportunities.
• Lead the development of Short- Medium and Long-term financial plans for partnership brands (Other Revenue P&L Line) - work with various functions (Brand teams, CSO, Managed Markets Finance,...) to develop National Net Sales outlook for Budget, LE and Risk and Opps dialogue.
• Support key stakeholders in the development of National Sales Forecasts and resulting Demand Plan, own updates of both forecasts/demand plan in alignment with BU for both Brain & Bone and Established Medicines
• Own Finance inputs for Field Force Call Plan alignment and IC goal setting on an as required ba-sis. PCEM BU Finance liaison with FF COE on all finance matters related to the Field.
• Lead 5 year Strategic Process within PCEM BU – including process management, development and ownership of all Strat Plan review support materials. Liaise with BP&A Strategic Planning to ensure alignment of PCEM BU Strat Plan process with overall GenMeds process.
• Support all relevant business initiatives (e.g. LCM, BD&L, M&A) from a financial perspective on an as needed basis.
• Proactively manage EM performance to meet financial objectives through partnership and com-munication with EM leadership team. Support Brand teams and commercial initiatives by provid-ing inputs and financial expertise as needed.
• Design and maintain early warning systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate advance warning for all financial results. Intervene as necessary to guarantee EM achieves financial goal. Draw on best practices to embody a high performance, cross-functional culture throughout sup-ported Franchises.

• Cultivate detailed knowledge of Franchise financial forecasts. Leverage expertise to provide input into the organization’s broader strategic risk-taking decisions. Clearly convey analysis of Franchise status to senior leaders within Novartis.
