DBA (database Administrator)

The Navis IT team is searching for an experienced DBA / application administrator and engaging team member to be responsible for oversight of the Databases/application servers for Navis products deployed within the organization for Development, QA, Support and for other groups. This person will work closely within the IT team to ensure availability, scalability and stability of Databases and applications systems, and also work with business stakeholders to ensure business requirements and service levels are properly defined and met. You will be an extremely good communicator and will be confident working with all levels within the business as well as being very organized and capable of juggling multiple requirements. This role may suit someone who is a super-user on multiple systems for their company at the moment; the go-to person for their team on any systems issues or configuration requirements and someone who now wants to get more involved in understanding and providing solutions with Muiti-Vendor Databases, Application servers and Operating Systems. Or you may currently be the system administrator or DBA but are looking to work in a fast paced, growing and supportive environment with exposure to more systems and with more responsibility. Either way, this is a varied and very interesting role both challenging yet rewarding. Position reports to the DBA Solutions Analyst and is located in Chennai, India.
