Technical SME
Title: Technical SME Location: IDC. India Grade: 9 Position Summary The Technical SME is accountable for all activities associated with deployment, Customer consultation regarding deployment, and support of technology and systems for Global WCS and partnered business units. He/She is responsible for the support of WCS solutions that include system procedure initiatives, support of those initiatives once deployed, providing Customer consultation on how those systems can best support business changes, and driving systems changes as appropriate. This individual is also responsible for contributing to incident reduction to improve profitability for NCR and customer availability.. Successful delivery is defined as meeting or exceeding stakeholder needs and expectations. This job role is to ensure that customer strategies and plans are understood and articulated, and application support is managed in relation to evolving business requirements Key Areas of Responsibility Independently own and Track support deliverables and ensure timely turnover/implementation of fixes Independently identify opportunities for improvement and work with the Development team on implementation solution Effective Communication skills, independently driving Support calls & discussions Ensure compliance to SQA & SCM Processes Good Documentation and Communication skills Good Team Player Application Support and Maintenance, meeting the defined SLAs Identifying and Documenting root cause analysis Communicate well across support teams (Other Application Support Teams) Mentoring Team members, with documented Training Plans Single Point of Contact for support issues Provide Status reports as required Consult with technical subject matter experts and recommend alternative technical solutions when applicable. Develop complete understanding of applications Supported and Maintained. Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve systems and process efficiencies. Desired Profile 4-6 years hands on experience Designing, Supporting & Maintaining Java based Web Applications Proficiency with Core Java, Multithreading, Oracle Procedures, PL/SQL, JMS, XML, Unix Prior experience of working on interfacing Applications in a Multi network/Server environment. Prior experience in providing Platinum Critical Support SLA's and Ensuring Uptime of Systems through Proactive Monitoring Preferred Requirements Good to Have skills XSLT, Tomcat, Good understanding of application Architectures and Application interfaces Strong technical background, knowledge and understanding of Web applications Prior work experienced in application support and Maintenance of web based applications preferred. Strong teamwork and Ownership skills Qualifications Basic Requirements B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA or an equivalent education. Experience 4 - 6 Years Industry Type IT-Software / Software Services Role Team Lead/Technical Lead
