Senior Officer (Human Resource)
Job Description 2 years contract to permanent position. Full set of civil service benefits provided. Responsibilities The Senior Officer, Human Resource Services will be leading a team of officers which handles a specific back end Human Resource operation for various client government agencies; either in Appointments, Benefits or Exit and Superannuation:- • Perform the role of Approving Officer to approve personnel transactions promptly in the related personnel systems for interface to the payroll and other related systems • Carry out checks to detect any delay in the updating of records in the related personnel system • Handle complex transactions and difficult cases and recommend courses of action. • Prepare and issue letters/emails correspondences and related documents necessary for communication with agencies and their employees on complex cases • Monitor officers’ work progress to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and timeliness • Initiate and implement measures to improve work effectiveness • Provide inputs for drafting of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) • Prepare reports documentations, charts, graphs and tables for submissions • Initiate and implement measures to improve customer service quality. • Resolve day-to-day issues with customers which do not require management attention. Requirements 1. Possess a local polytechnic Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Studies or equivalent with at least 3 years working experience in a related field OR Possess at least 3 'O' level passes including English and Math with at least 10 years of working experience in a related field 2. Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) in English with a customer service orientation 3. Confident, has good initiative, independent and mature 4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel 5. Leadership and supervisory experience advantageous Only Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are eligible to apply.
