Product Yield Analysis (PYA) Engineer

Micron Fab10 - Product Yield Analysis (PYA) Engineer

Responsibilities:


As a Product Yield Analysis (PYA) Engineer at Micron's Fab10, you will be responsible for product improvement on leading edge memory technologies, partnering with Micron Product Engineering (PE) and Fab10 Process Integration (PI) to resolve product issues, improve yield, achieve production qualification, and maintain a high level of quality. This will include chairing cross-site teams to solve challenging problems.

  • Coordinate activities in the PYA team to drive and prioritize yield improvement, failure debug, new silicon, and test optimization.
  • Support PE groups to improve backend yields and drive the resolution of all fab related backend failure
  • Spearhead product yield improvement activities through electrical failure analysis (EFA), data analysis and knowledge of product and device operation
  • Monitor key product and reliability metrics and drive for improvements and matching with other fabs.
  • Work closely with other fab counterparts to enable product transfer and performance matching.
  • Communicate and report product status and projections to key stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of memory testing and with the typical product failure modes
  • Proven ability to use the APG/uMate or equivalent memory tester
  • Successfully demonstrated skill in reading schematics and tracing signals in layout
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate data and findings both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of product qualification flows and reliability testing is a plus
  • Ability to use data analysis tools (JMP) and work with fab, probe and test databases is desired
  • Must be able to drive projects to completion and be capable of managing complex projects with little or no supervision
  • A minimum of 2 years engineering experience in semiconductors is required
