Yield Enhancement Engineer
As a Yield Enhancement engineer, your main responsibility will be identifying and communicating processing and design issues that limit wafer yield. In this position, you will perform daily analysis of electrical data as well as electrical and visual characterization of failing devices. You will also identify defects by handling the deprocessing of failing die, performing analysis of process experiments, writing clear and concise reports, and offering daily presentations of technical data. Demonstrates thorough understanding of yield data analysis, Fab processes and their common effects/signatures on yield/device. Demonstrates a basic understanding of how current process is affected by previous processing, and how current processing may affect subsequent processing. Should have excellent interaction with other internal YE groups and work to understand their constraints. Provide expertise on multiple area processes, and controls all aspects of yield analysis related to these areas. Serve a key role in implementing new methods for yield analysis and in implementing new ways to improve YE process efficiencies Create/participate in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield problems. Use advanced knowledge of device/Fab process to consistently create new ways to solve YE problems. Actively engage with other Fabs to shares BKM’s and yield learning. Use knowledge of semiconductor device physics, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing process to explain and resolve yield issues. Partner closely with YE EFFI/PFA/TEM groups and work to understand their constraints. Performs root cause analysis using various statistical/data analysis tools. Writes clear and concise reports, and offers daily presentations & clear yield reports with explanation of yield deviations and limiters Publishes a clear Pareto of yield limiters on their specific part type. Communicates the process/tool related yield toggles to the Fab process areas and support them in troubleshooting the process/tool. Coordinates all FA activities on their specific part type to explain and improve yields Support transfer of next generation technology from R&D to production Fab as and when necessary Work closely with RDA to minimize gaps between inline and end-of-line fails and support them to provide inline dieloss for all defect related yield limiters. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics or equivalent experience. Demonstrates a good understanding of NAND Flash structure and function. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present data in large meetings Demonstrated ability to be dynamic and proactive Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people Proven ability to promote teamwork within a diverse group Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task, prioritize and manage projects, and facilitate problem solving processes Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail Successfully demonstrated ability to manage work load successfully, follow through on commitments, take initiative to address problems, and provide outstanding customer service. Strong knowledge of Fab processing and good analytical and problem solving skills Strong understanding of electrical testing and characterization and device physics with a FLASH background is highly preferred Intermediate computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, JMP, and UNIX Experience with SEM, FIB, and emission microscope is a plus.
