Senior Project Manager

This position is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure project portfolio for a specific business segment in order to support the successful implementation of new applications and systems based on business and customer objectives.

Position Objectives:

    * Ensures adherence to project management methodologies and standards in order to meet client expectations.
    * Performs in a leadership role, ensuring the completion of projects within defined time-lines, budget controls and quality standards.
    * Demonstrated proficiency managing programs and projects that typically have enterprise-wide implications as well as a highly technical complexity.
    * Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining project information, status and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management, staff, and vendors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    * Manage a business segment specific project portfolio and performs as a liaison between the business and the IT organization.
    * Responsible for planning and successful execution of assigned projects, which includes business and IT needs identification, scope identification, discovery process, and delivery.
    * Develops and manages the project tasks, dependencies, and resources to ensure that development activities are consistent with established IT standards as well as departmental business objectives.
    * Leads projects across platforms, applications and/or business lines.  Works with business partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules and costs for new system initiatives.
    * Ensures compliances with the company IT governance, processes, policies and procedures.
    * Develops documentation and reports regarding project status, issues and risks.  Prepares management reports summarizing resource utilization as well as how project plans are performing against critical schedules and budgets.
    * Develops, manages, and monitors the project budget, schedule and scope.
    * Interfaces with PMO to use Project Management standards and best practices.

Internal Responsibilities:

    * Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
    * Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
    * Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
    * Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

    * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field desired.
    * 4-6 years related experience as a project manager with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
    * 5-10 years related experience as a program manager.
    * Must have thorough knowledge of IT functions and understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
    * Experience with project management life cycle processes, methodologies and support tools are required.
    * Experience in IT operations including data center operations, servers, storage, networks, helpdesk and the use of technology in the delivery of IT services.
    * Able to deal well with ambiguity and capable of creating structure from loosely-defined concepts.
    * Excellent organization skills to manage multiple assignments in a highly demanding business environment
    * Proven leadership, mediation and facilitation skills.
    * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    * Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Project Server 2007 and /or 2010.
    * PMP, Six sigma, ITL certification a plus.
