Salesforce Administrator
Job Purpose: The Sales Force Administrator (SFA) will provide technical leadership for IT projects as they relate to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, preparing functional specification, and creating test and training plans. The candidate should have an understanding of Sales Force Automation processes including Opportunity Management, Quoting, and Account Management. The SFA will work closely with the Sales, Client Services, Marketing and Event teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Sale Force configuration and implementation and support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will support the Sales, Client Services, Marketing and Event teams. The SFA must possess numerous advanced technical skills, including knowledge of multiple applications and business processes. As new technologies emerge and impact CRM, the SFA is expected to learn these applications very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new applications with our systems.
Core responsibilities include:
• Define the usage standards, reports and guidelines for application governance and product roadmaps. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Sales Force application.
• Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for support of the business units as it pertains to the functionality of the Sales Force application.
• Ensures latest capabilities of the platform are utilized and develop strategies to take advantage of the latest Sales Force features.
• Develops and deploys Salesforce.com reports and dashboards.
• Works as part of a project team and closely with vendor to implement interfaces into and out of Salesforce.com
• Participate in the initial and eventually own the final configuration of the Sales Force product.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and transitioning of new and existing applications to IT Operations takes places smoothly.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information systems or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 5+ years experience in IT Analysis, design and Implementation of CRM solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of business processes, practices, and related systems across several functional areas.
• Good grasp of latest Information Technology products and solutions for a major business function.
• Strong working knowledge of application architectures.
• Strong working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies.
• Familiarity with systems across multiple platforms.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills. In depth experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word is required.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology and/or processes.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under high-pressure.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, global, collaborative environment.
• Process oriented logical thinking and understanding of models, use cases, information architectures.
• Participate in ongoing production support and end user support.
• Position may require work to be performed off business hours and weekends.
