Job Purpose:

Develops and maintains relationships with MedAssets staff and customers by providing education on contractual and clinical issues to improve medication utilization.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    * Develop relationships with MedAssets SCS pharmacy members in the assigned area of the country.
    * Develop and maintain system to keep members in the assigned area of the country informed concerning clinical programs and contractual updates.
    * Assist in developing and implementing new clinical pharmacy initiatives.
    * Encourage contract compliance by providing individualized, cost-effective, clinical programs to pharmacy members.
    * Assist in pharmacy educational programs.
    * Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.  


Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

    * Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Registered Pharmacist with equivalent experience required.  Residency preferred.  Hospital pharmacy experience required.
    * Must maintain knowledge base required to provide drug information necessary to assist members.
    * Able to communicate professionally, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing with business and technical associates, as well as laypersons.  Includes demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific information.
    * Able to prioritize workload and work effectively with minimal supervision.
    * Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
    * Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products.  

 Travel: Travel is required approximately 70% of the time in support of clients throughout the East Coast Region and/or Southeast Region.
