The McGraw-Hill Companies is seeking a Director, Service Management to ensure quality of vendor agreements and contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating financial impact based on analysis. In addition to overseeing existing agreements, the Director must manage new contracts to ensure there are no unnecessary costs, and productivity objectives are met. The candidate needs to befamiliar managing grants and contracts, and  managing services and contracts in a large IT organization, based on ITIL framework. The candidate should have experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and meet deliverables.                                                                                            



    * Responsible for negotiation, initiation, and composition of vendor agreements and contracts to ensure the highest quality, and best overall value.  This will allow the contracts/agreements to reside in a central location and be tracked accordingly.
    * In addition to managing new contracts, review current and existing contracts to identify contract expirations and coordinates with appropriate stakeholder(s) to determine contract renewal disposition.  Manage new contracts.
    * Evaluates overall total costs and value potential. Administers and prepares financial analyses necessary to arrive at the financial impact.
    * Deliver operational and service level agreements. Manage outsourced suppliers and third party contract agreements.  Coordinates reviews and oversees all change order management.
    * Ensures effective operation of the performed services in order to achieve productivity objectives.
    * Responsible for oversight of $120m in services in the first year with a steady state oversight of $75m per year for McGraw-Hill Financial.  Project SOWs are additional (est. $20m annually) as well as the responsibility to oversee the infrastructure separation as per the corporate GVP initiative.
    * This role will ensure that contracts are negotiated and within the best interest of the McGraw-Hill Companies.  New contracts will be thoroughly evaluated to ensure that there no unnecessary costs.  Current contracts will be reviewed to ensure that they are still active and necessary.





    * A bachelor's degree is required from an accredited institution.
    * Exposure to managing services and contracts in a large IT organization based on ITIL framework.
    * Must have experience with reviewing and managing grants and contracts.
    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
