Regional Sales Manager

Job Description: Implement strategies in assigned territory that leverage and sell the hotels’ unique assets to create trial, capture demand, encourage repeat business and gain market share. Ability to develop and execute plans to meet/exceed set targets. Solicit and procure new and existing business thru telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, customer presentations and training and written communication. Study and be aware of property’s dates, occupancy, rates and blocks to maximize group revenue opportunities for effective selling. Communicate with on property teams regarding levels of business from each region/client per property and jointly develop strategies to win more business. Identify promotional opportunities and liaise with property sales and marketing on market trends, competition and customer needs. Consults with leisure accounts to plan details of opportunities for partnership and annual programs and tactical coop offers designed to drive incremental room sales, market share and occupancy during off-peak periods. Participate in weekly/monthly conference calls and on-property meetings, training, site inspections, pre-convention meetings and other sales related meetings as required. Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings and professionally represent the hotels in community and industry organizations. Responsible for ensuring accurate input, maintenance and management of all assigned accounts, groups and activity in Delphi. Assist with reports and collection of market and competitive data as necessary. Additional duties as necessary and assigned. Job Requirement: Minimum Diploma Degree in Business/Hotel Management; Degree Bachelor preferred. 5+ years working of experience; 1-2 years of experience in related area;3-4 years experience in manageria role. Possesses strong interpersonal communication, presentation, negotiating, customer service and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of all departments of a hotel and/or convention center operation. Highly organized and able to work independently. Able to meet deadlines and multi tasks concurrently with attention to detail under time constraints. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from managers, vendors, customers and the general public. Fluent in written/oral English and one local language. Knowledgeable and Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Delphi Sales and Catering a plus. Basic computational math skills and analytical capabilities. Meets the guidelines of the position and adheres to departmental and company policies: well groomed , highly professional appearance; Willing to work flexible hours and travel as and when required. Experience with large scale operations or across multiple sites is an advantage. Must be able to interact with Hotel Executives, Department Heads and other Team Members in a diplomatic and persuasive manner to foster cooperation and a positive work environment.
