Compliance Manager

This is a strategic position under Compliance function. Role will include ensuring compliance to Indian regulations, managing Post Trade Compliance process and people management. Key Responsibilities/ Duties: Ensure compliance to India Regulations including SEZ Rules, direct tax, indirect tax, labour laws, etc. Interpretation of various laws, amendments and case laws Ensuring that relevant department is complying with the timelines for various regulatory fillings Managing SEZ fillings like: import clearances, foreign nationals permission, monthly report, laptop permission, etc. Provide advisory to various business teams on legal agreements, labour regulations and tax related matters like: service tax, VAT, excise, custom duty, etc. Provide a highly responsive and professional level of support to business Implement and monitor control framework for legal entity Slicing and dicing of data including comparison between various systems Reporting potential violations to onsite team in UK as per defined SLAs Daily interaction with overseas colleagues both verbal and written Participate in peer review and internal audit reviews Continuous update of process documentation and other training manuals Supervising a team of four people on daily basis Align learning opportunities for building technical expertise, enhancing business acumen and strengthening global alignment Actively pursue development activities for team towards acquiring enhanced leadership skills & attitude Support adhoc projects for the company Desired Profile Working Timings: Working timing will be 9.30AM to 6.30PM however this could change from time to time as per business requirements. Formal Education & Work Experience: B.Com/M.Com/MBA with 8-10 years of relevant work experience in a likewise Industry/MNC, or CA with 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a likewise Industry/MNC Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required: Good written and verbal communication skills Should have good people management skills Good interpersonal and strong analytical skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency on MS Office suite of applications Should be open to work flexible hours Experience 5 - 10 Years Industry Type Banking / Financial Services / Broking Role Audit Manager
