Reliability Expert - Honeywell Technology Solution

Principal Duties: Reliability Predictions - Collect component level data and perform Standards-based reliability predictions on assemblies (PRISM, Mil-Std-217, 217 plus, Telcordia). Guide and mentor team on predictions and reliability evaluation Provide derating (part stress analysis) guidelines working with key Development Engineers Provide product/system reliability and safety assessment using predictions, FMEA, FTA by working with cross functional design groups. Ascertain potential opportunities and requirements for product reliability/safety. Analyze field data using appropriate probability distributions to estimate Reliability Metrics on focused products. Predict component and system life of new products using tools such as statistical analysis (Weibull etc) Develop Reliability and safety Program Plans Prepare/review appropriate test plans to demonstrate reliability evaluation (HALT/HASS) Review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements. Mentor, review the teams work and guide the reliability team on reliability/safety process Prepare technical competency development plans for the team and guide the team to achieve the competency levels Be proactive, dynamic and taking responsibility in exceeding the customer commitments Basic Qualifications: Masters/Bachelors Degree in Electronics/electrical Engineering 10 -15 years exposure in reliability/safety domain in aerospace industry. ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is preferred Familiar with Six sigma tools and process
