Recruiting Asst

Our client is seeking a contract Recruiting Assistant for a long term project at its Pittsburgh, PA facility.  The successful candidate will play an integral part in the recruiting process.



·          Provide guidance to jobseekers and hiring managers.

·          Assist recruiters throughout the recruiting process from creating and posting positions to scheduling interviews and facilitating General Job Information pre-employment checks.

·          Be the first point of contact for questions related to the recruiting process and system from jobseekers, hiring managers, and recruiters through e-mail and the 1-800 phone number;

·          Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers on creating requisitions;

·          Post requisitions to various recruitment sources;

·          Coordinate interview schedules between the hiring managers and jobseekers;

·          Create offer letters

·          Facilitate background/medical checks

·          Complete new hire paperwork and enter new hire information into the systems



·          High School diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of relevant work experience;

·          Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation;

·          Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;

·          Proven ability to coordinate and prioritize the workload of multiple activities, while maintaining a high level of customer service in a complex, fast paced environment

·          Meet deadlines and drive assignments to their completion;

·          Receive and respond to requests by following established procedures not requiring management review

·          Ability to raise issues to the appropriate level when inconsistencies are noted;

·          Strong MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/Outlook skills


Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in Human Resources or Recruitment Operations or Administration in a corporate environment.

Must hold a Green Card or be a US Citizen.  Please no Corp to Corp or 3rd party vendors and W-2 only due to client contract restrictions.
