Physical Card Design Engineer

We Are Hiring a Physical Card Design Engineer for Server Hardware Design! Great Environment for a Great Company!


CTG is currently recruiting for a Physical Card Design Engineer for a Server Hardware Design project  in Houston, TX for a long term contract with our Fortune 100 customer located on the west side of Houston near Katy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team, where you can technically grow in your career.


The Physical Card Design Engineer will be assigned ownership of card designs and will be responsible for executing all phases of physical design leading to a successful release. The Physical Card Design Engineer must have hands on experience with the Cadence tool set including Allegro and Constraint Manager.  The Physical Card Design Engineer position requires experience in logic card layout and wiring. The Physical Card Design Engineer position requires good organizational and communication skills and the ability to take direction from other card, signal integrity and power integrity engineers on the team.  The Physical Card Design Engineer must be able to provide clear status to the team, identify issues, develop and execute action plans, and react quickly to changing requirements. Experience with IBM POWER technology is a plus.

Required Skills for the Physical Card Design Engineer include the following:

    * BS in Electrical Engineering required, MS preferred.
    * Experience with Physical Card Design including experience in logic card layout and wiring.
    * 3+ years demonstrated experience with Cadence electrical design development tools & methods – (Cadence Allegro)
    * Demonstrated communications skills and technical leadership experience is essential.
    * Local to Houston preferred
