Digital Account Executive
WMAR-TV seeks a Digital Account Executive to become part of its growing new media sales team in the Baltimore market. We offer outstanding financial rewards and a positive team atmosphere for the salesperson who can deliver. This is a great opportunity for a proven digital sales professional. Candidate must have successful experience selling mobile, Internet and video related offerings. This position is an outside sales position.
Requirements (this list of duties is not exhaustive and may be changed at any time w/o notice) • Prospecting, selling and closing new media advertising to direct businesses and advertising agencies. New Media advertising includes: Internet banner advertising; behavioral and contextual targeted networks; SMS text campaigns; Video, SEM and social media consulting and advertising. • Develop, maintain and prospect new media business from traditional and non-traditional advertisers locally, surrounding metro areas and nationally. • Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing quantitative and qualitative metrics. • Maintain a sales funnel. • Strategic Implementation and training for new media products. • Assembly, delivery and interpretation of monthly customer reports and campaign optimization. • Perform other duties as needed and as directed by Management.
Education: College degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of two years experience presenting and selling Internet new media advertising directly to businesses and advertising agencies. Behavioral and Contextual targeted ad selling is preferred. Applicants with solid media or Internet sales experience will also be considered.
Skills/Abilities: Proven track record in prospecting and closing new media advertising. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Impeccable time management and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
License: Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance. Reliable transportation required. Television station WMAR is an equal opportunity employer.
