About the Opportunity

The Elyria Site (Lear Romec Brand) offers the most reliable positive displacement pumps in the industry industry consisting of vane, gerotor, and spur gear configurations. Products include lube and scavenge pumps that are ETOPS rated; high contamination resistance gerotor pumps for oil applications; high pressure spur gear pumps; centrifugal fuel pumps and centrifugal coolant pumps.  Our pumps are used on many General Aviation, business jet, commercial transport, and military aircraft applications.

 

We need a talented individual in our Fluid Management Group at our Elyria, OH facility to fill the role of a Contract Administrator II.  The Contract Administration department is the direct link between the Company and the customer. This position is accountable and responsible for developing and maintaining good customer relationships; resolving issues affecting customer satisfaction for the assigned customers; and managing customer orders within the Crane Aerospace’s order fulfillment and demand management processes.  Individuals in this position are self motivated and work with intermittent direction, and present themselves in a positive and professional manner.

 

The Contract Administrator provides leadership within their assigned customer base and the department on contracts related to commercial and/or government/military programs.  The Contract Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the contract’s life and product support including: day to day administration of customer’s orders; review of purchase orders and flowing-down requirements; ensuring contract enforcement; dispute resolution; preparing and responding to requests for quotes; resolving supply/demand issues; maintaining visibility of order status and proactively communicating and resolving delivery issues; applying for and managing applicable licenses; processing customer returns in accordance with any existing PSA or Crane’s standard processes.  

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

·         Manage annual price escalations by working with functional teams to implement appropriate price changes based on contractual language or Crane standard processes.

 

·         Work with assigned business manager and prepare material for program and rate readiness reviews.

 

·         Actively embrace Crane’s continuous improvement program by identifying and driving improvement initiatives within own work scope or department.

 

·         Facilitate customer telecoms and visits.

 

·         Manage simple to moderately complex NPI programs under the direction of a CAM, Program Manager, or Senior Contract Administrator

 

·         Manage customer returns through Elyria’s RMA process

 

·         Respond to customer’s proposal requests by working with other departments to create a complete proposal package.

 

·         Apply for and manage export licenses inline with federal export regulations and requirements.

 

·         Enter and manage sales orders in accordance with customer’s demand/PO using Crane’s order fulfillment system for all assigned customers.

 

·         Verify PO requirements are consistent with standard terms and conditions and/or specific customer contractual requirements.

 

Complete Contract Review and Flowdown

 

·         Review and process request for quotation and purchase order changes from customers; confirm price and delivery.

 

·         Decipher and manage customer's demand (orders & forecast), and maintain customer’s portals.

 

·         Review and interpret Crane Aerospace forecasting/consumption reports, in support of the demand management process, to efficiently and effectively manage customer demand.

 

·         Establish, develop and maintain good customer relationships; understand and communicate current and future customer needs and expectations throughout Crane Aerospace and act effectively as the customer’s advocate.

 

·         Coordinate the resolution of issues affecting customer satisfaction.

 

·         Coordinate with the appropriate Crane Aerospace team members to achieve and maintain a high level of visibility with respect to customer delivery status and manage resolution of delivery issues.

 

·        Coordinate with the customer and internal functional teams to assist in the resolution of invoice collection issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 2-5 years experience in contract administration or procurement.   Experience reading, understanding, and administering Long Term Agreements (LTA) and Product Service Agreements (PSA).

 

Knowledge: Demonstrate general understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices, and standards of the contract administration field. Prefer basic knowledge of Export Administration Regulations, ITAR Compliance, FAR/DFAR, government procurement specifications, regulations, and compliance requirements. Able to identify customer-specific requirements and flowing them down to appropriate departments. Full understanding of AR and how to research invoices, payments, and debits. Working knowledge of different license types, their application, and how to obtain them; understands ITAR requirements for technical data, drawings, and parts.

 

 Skills: Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

 Ability: Must be able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of limited scope and complexity and contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals; Ability to work in a changing environment

 

 Education/Certification:  BA degree OR 5 years contract administration experience with ever increasing responsibilities.

 

Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
