Regional Business Manager

 Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. About the Opportunity

Position Summary:

Expand and manage sales channels to grow sales in the business jet and regional market in support of delivering the Aerospace group aftermarket sales and strategic goals.  Customer base includes Regional Operators, Business Jet Operators, Fixed-Based-Operators (FBO), and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Centers with responsibility for all Crane Aerospace products with initial emphasis on aircraft wireless tire pressures sensing systems.

Job Duties:

    * Experience in direct selling aerospace aftermarket products to Business Jet and/or Regional Jet operators and maintainers– both subsystems and individual components, including commodity type components.
    * Successful history in identifying, targeting, negotiating and willing sales programs.
    * Successful history and current working knowledge of distribution networks, brokers and other indirect sales channels.
    * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships particularly with customer purchasing influences.
    * Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    * Ability to travel up to 50% (majority domestic travel).
    * Participated in and/or coordinate trade shows, conferences and user forums to promote products.
    * Knowledge of aftermarket services and equipment for business jets and regional aircraft including working relationships with MROs, FBOs, and regional and business jet operators.
    * Assist in developing marketing strategies and marketing material.
    * Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) Part 120 and Part 91 is helpful but not required.
    * Experience in new product Introduction.

Minimum Requirements:

    * Experience:
          o 5 years experience in Aerospace industry sales or business development.
          o BS in technical or business field preferred.
          o Technical understanding of aerospace products, certifications and aerospace industry in general required.

    * Knowledge:
          o Participated as a member or knowledgeable of the business aircraft user groups, associations/councils.
          o Ability to develop customer specific sales strategies and develop and execute required actions.
          o Demonstrated ability to develop proposals, presentations and business models.
          o Utilize CRM system for tracking, managing programs, and managing customer activity.
          o Provide weekly reporting on key activities and issues; develop market assessments.
          o Ability to work cross functionally within various levels of customers and Crane organizations.
          o Proficient in using MS Office package; experience in ERP systems preferred.
          o Familiar and comfortable with leveraging social networking tools such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

    * Eligibility Requirement:
          o Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
          o Requires up to 50% travel to support customers.
