Telecommunications Engineer
* Senior level specialist is required to provide ongoing testing, technical support and maintenance of SSA's Call Centers & Operations, Automation, Routing, Work Force Management, and Management Information (MI) functionality as well as their interoperability with the various SSA platforms. Specific required responsibilities include the following:
* Obtain a full understanding of the vendor applications used to support the SSA Call Centers
* Obtain a full understanding of SSA's backend design and interface specifications used to support the SSA Call Centers
* Support system implementation and enhancement efforts to ensure compatibility within the SSA environment
* Understand routing test plans, perform maintenance testing in accordance with approved plans, and document test results
* Analyze each Automation application, Work Force Management application, and MI Reporting solution against SSA design specifications and requirements to validate each application and all enhancements/modifications meet SSA specifications
* Work with SSA staff to perform self-audits of all application services to eliminate communication weaknesses/failures
* Provide analysis support in determining required routing database changes, traffic engineering and design, and development and maintenance of customized reports
* Participate in MI development and customization efforts
* Analyze and correlate information from multiple data sources for MI support
* Prior call center & intelligent network routing experience and a working knowledge of how complex, nationwide, virtual call centers function
* Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) on database technology, data collection techniques, call center reporting data structures, analytics & metrics, data modeling, and data analysis
* Capable of interacting with multiple vendors and organizational levels on all aspects of their Routing and Information/Data Management solutions, issue resolution, change management, and capacity planning
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or related field preferred
* Seven or more years of technical consulting or computer science experience
* Experience working with technology industry and architecture
* Experience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technology
* Experience working with mainframes, scheduling software, and other related technologies
* Experience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting knowledge

* Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
* Good communication skills to communicate with clients, support personnel, and management
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
* Good interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and management
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Willingness to travel
