Account Services Representative

 This is a temporary position.

Duration through 01/15/13

This position is accountable to support the account services organization by assisting in order management activities and providing administrative support to the department.

Provide exceptional internal account management support for assigned teams.  Work with Account Service Managers and Account Service Representatives to ensure completion of key order management activities.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    * Provide administrative support to the account service team to ensure key activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    * Understand and comply with each accounts requirements and expectations.
    * Through continuous improvement take action to correct inefficiencies in the order to delivery process.
    * Utilize internal/external resources to fully understand the complexities of retail partners.
    * Be an active participant/stakeholder in bringing our service strategies to life.
    * Compile and distribute key reports.
    * Monitor customer bulk orders, ensuring timely product allocation and shipping.  Collaborate with sales reps/sales management to ensure consistent bulk review and documentation/approval of date changes and cancellations.
    * Report and analyze assignment for designated customers and work with Planning and Sales to maximize on time delivery and fill rate.
    * Review, analyze and validate customer chargebacks negotiating reversals where applicable.
    * Work to ensure that supply chain initiatives such as direct ships and 3PL are being fully and successfully leveraged.  Recommend additional opportunities for expansion of these initiatives.
    * Participate in inter-departmental collaboration to ensure success of account replenishment program.
    * Participate in meetings and conference calls with customers/reps.

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    * Demonstrate initiative and strong business knowledge
    * Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    * Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
    * SAP experience preferred


Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience


1-3 years business experience preferably in retail, order management or apparel/footwear

Job Conditions:

Job requires hours that may occasionally exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during times of peak activity. Evening and/or weekend work occasionally required to ensure timely project completion. Some job pressure exists in the balancing of tasks with conflicting and sometimes changing deadlines. Some travel for customer meetings may be required.  The ability to sit for extended periods and to bend, kneel, and stoop.  Ability to operate telephones and computer hardware and software, including keyboard and 10-key.  Physical capability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.  Exposure to a computer CRT.
