Director of Wealth Management

To manage, measure, coordinate, and recognize the client service and business development activities of Columbia Bank’s Wealth Management division.  Build relationships with internal business partners to maximize Wealth Managements employee success, satisfaction, and to enhance shareholder’s value.

Serve on Strategic Management Group and ALCO Committee

Wealth Management also oversees: Private banking, Professional Banking, CB Financial Services, & Trust Services.

1. Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers by presenting a professional image, providing immediate acknowledgement, extending a warm and friendly greeting, actively listening, identifying and recommending solutions and advice, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality, and exceeding the customer’s expectations.

2. Establish and communicate team and group goals by setting financial objectives and priorities, measuring and recognizing individual contributions, and coaching and co-calling with individuals needing support.

* Sales Skills: ability to cold-call and make a warm, positive impression
* Comprehensive knowledge of bank Investment / Brokerage, Trust business

3. Develop and execute the financial and marketing plans for Wealth Management business units by measuring and communicating financial outcomes; motivating and celebrating revenue growth; preparing and presenting financial status of Wealth Management groups; creating and implementing a Wealth Management marketing plan that supports organizational strategies and objectives.  Utilize market research to maximize impact of sales and marketing efforts.

* Ability to prepare budgets and establish goals to achieve the bank’s financial objectives
* Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

* Ability to build cohesive teams and drive results

4. Coach by participating fully in team leaders’ and Private Banker’s development processes and progress.  Observe and recommend training plans; build accountable and supportive relationships with team leaders, managers, and lenders; recognize that team success equates personal success and create a positive and beneficial environment within the team.

5. Structure and analyze new and renewed loan requests by serving as the lending resource for lending teams; helps teams achieve maximum success by previewing loans prior to committee.

6. Provide Strategic leadership for the bank as a member of the Strategic Management group. Work with other members and executive management to provide development and execution of strategies to build long term shareholder value

7. Serve as a member of the banks ALCO committee an actively involved in setting and implementing the bank’s pricing, deposit, lending and funding strategies to meet profitability objectives.

1. Education and Experience

* Extensive experience in sales, sales management, and staff supervision.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, finance, accounting, or related field
* Master’s Degree valued
* Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferred
* Demonstrated Strategic Leadership experience in Financial Services

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
