Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Leadership of a cross-functional therapeutic area team • Works closely with cross-functional team members ensuring the needed support, coaching and information is provided as needed • Manages product life cycle through engagement of other areas such as Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical • Develops and executes therapeutic area and brand plans including 3-5 year strategic, annual tactical marketing and launch plans for assigned areas • Manages product P&L, inputs into forecasting and ensures key assumptions are accurate at all times • Guides business analysis and cross-functional colleagues to determine accelerators and decelerators of business. • Manages operational aspects of products with help from operations (e.g., distribution) • Develops promotional materials and campaigns, including: sales tools, product messaging, direct mail/blast fax/Internet, PR campaigns, advertising, teleconferences • Contributes to reimbursement strategy and tactics • Develops and implements CME (Continuing Medical Education) Programs and national/satellite symposia with or without the help of a CME manager • Educates sales force on product, strategy and tactics • Development and implementation of POA for business meetings • Establish collaborative working relationships with national KOLs for advisory input on strategic issues • Launch of future products and/or indications Knowledge & Skills Required: • Possess excellent technical aptitude and marketing ability • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and presentation skills • Computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, project management and E-mail and presentation software The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key competencies / attributes: • Big picture, strategic thinking • Self and organizational leadership • Passionate about anticipating and consistently meeting / exceeding the needs of our defined customers / partners • Independent / self – starter • Natural coach and motivator • Performance focused • Subject matter expert / proven top performer, with breadth of knowledge • Self awareness /smart • Flexibility/ adaptability • Solution oriented/ creative • Strong communicator both written and oral • Team player Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree or equivalent • MBA or graduate degree a plus • 4 years direct sales in pharmaceutical / biotech industry preferred with at least 2 years in specialty markets. • Minimum 2 years product management, with experience being in charge of a specialty launch a plus • Previous Oncology and/or Hematology preferred, with specialty experience acceptable. • Strong understanding of all aspects of pharmaceutical business, including the roles of regulatory, medical and a working knowledge of reimbursement at hospital, provincial and private payer levels
