Financial Service Representative

Job Duties:

Perform all aspects of new account opening procedures for all retail bank products.
Possess a working knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
Cross-sell bank products, assist existing and prospective customers to expand relationships and to develop new business, through in-branch selling, telemarketing, direct mailings and in some cases, outside calls.
Provide quality personalized customer service, maintain frequent customer contact to expand relationships and ensure customer retention.
Maintain open communication with Bank sales personnel such as Financial Consultants, Lenders, etc. Identify sales opportunities and make referrals to the Wealth Management Financial Consultants.
Maintain a proactive practice of identifying opportunity and taking necessary steps to retain VIP customer relations.
Proactively support branch new business promotions.
Maintain an awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in the local market.
May be required to assist customers with reviewing, completing and signing loan documents for retail loan products.
Answer customer inquiries and provide solutions to problems and make recommendations as appropriate.
Perform customer service functions such as check orders, change of address, return mail processing, and other account maintenance changes.
May prepare and monitor TCD loans.
May process TCD interest payment changes.
Supercede Signature Cards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

College degree with business classes preferred, but not mandatory.
2 – 3 years bank teller experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Bank products and services.
PC literate and typing proficient.
Detail oriented.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Bilingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.
Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to regulations and policies affecting new account processing.
