Franchise Operations Manager

To support domestic franchisees and licensees to ensure growth, great execution and compliance with Caribou’s Standard of Operational Excellence. Communicate and assist in the implementation all new initiatives. Provide support as needed to Caribou Leadership with all development initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:
• Ensure all new and existing franchisees meet Caribou’s Standard of Operational Excellence by:
- Conduct audits of the units of assigned Franchisees & Licensees.
- Coach them to identify gaps in performance.
- Assist the franchisee or licensee with development, implementation and follow up on action plan based on the key issues and areas of concern identified during site visits and operations audits.
• Communicate effectively with licensees and franchisees. Ensure that information necessary for them to execute the brand is received in a complete and timely way. Ensure that the input, concerns and questions posed by the franchisee or licensee is escalated to the appropriate people at Caribou.
• Provide input into the annual operating plan process and assist in preparing annual financial and operational plan.
• Monitor and help coordinate New Store Openings with franchisee or licensee.
• Monitor and achieve budgeted sales and profitability for own areas of responsibilities.
• Ensure Caribou’s training systems are adhered to and administered effectively.
• Guide and support franchisee or licensee in growing sales.
• Guide and support franchisee or licensee with financial evaluations to achieve realistic profitability.
• Attend, in person or via conference call, all regularly scheduled meetings pertaining to franchisee or licensee support.
• Act as a liaison to represent the franchisees in the Support center:
- Monitor Product Management Department to facilitate simultaneous launches of new products.
- Monitor status of orders with the Logistics Department and assist in efforts to streamline the timelines.
- Monitor all sales reports and assist the Accounting Department to receive accurate and timely reporting.
- Manage new initiatives from the Marketing Department and the ability to implement, adapt, replace or not participate due to local customs or market conditions.
- Stay current and communicate new directives from the Retail Operations Department.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 5+ years operational and/or training experience required.
• Experience in a multi-unit restaurant or retail environment as well as previous experience in opening new high-volume, multi-unit restaurants preferred.
• Experience in multi-unit management of foodservice operations, preferably in quick service or fast casual dining.

Physical Demands: The physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up 30 pounds, and being able to stand for 1 to 2 hours, or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
