Reimbursement Services Administrator

Reimbursement Services- Administrative Support Associate

Location: Conshohocken, PA
Reports to: Manager, Reimbursement Performance


Job Summary:
Receives sorts and batches incoming Correspondence for Reimbursement Services Team. Supports activity for unidentified and demographic remittances. Other administrative duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    * Receiving and sorting of all mail correspondence.
    * Reading and interpreting mail correspondence: take necessary action.
    * Batching and scanning of all correspondence.
    * Apply denial codes to remittances when applicable.
    * Support the researching of unidentified remittances (when applicable).
    * Copying, Filing, shredding and faxing documents.
    * Special projects as assigned.


Job Knowledge:


    * Should have knowledge of MCOT, Event and Holter equipment and be able to communicate effectively with other internal departments.
    * Knowledge of benefits verification and authorizations.
    * Knowledge of ICD9, EOB’s, third party payors, Medicare, managed care, private pay and HIPPA regulations.
    * MCOT, Event and Holter coding knowledge.
    * Computer skills including proficiency in Windows-based applications and MS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook using multiple platforms.
    * Customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    * Processing systems knowledge that are related to our business.
    * Knowledge of certain cardiac arrhythmias.
    * Detail oriented.
    * Ability to perform data entry with minimal guidance and minimal errors.
    * Self-starter, demonstrates initiative and flexibility in a fast paced environment.
    * Being a team player, following through on tasks, problem-solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking.
    * Patience, professionalism, excellent phone etiquette and technical skills.
    * Product knowledge.

Education & Experience:


    * High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    * College course work or degree desirable.
    * Proven customer service skills.
    * Strong organizational skills.
    * Experience working in a fast – paced environment which includes multi-tasking.
    * Ability to provide sound judgment.
    * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Specialized Knowledge:


    * Proficient in MS Office software.
    * Nextgen knowledge desirable.


Physical Job Requirements:


This position requires an employee to stand, walk, sit and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds at a time. Upon occasion, employee could be asked to travel locally to pick up items for training workshops and team building events.
