Account Executive
Responsibilities
The Healthcare Account Executive is responsible for establishing relationships with new target healthcare organizations and for developing relationships with key existing healthcare corporate customers (primarily hospitals and hospital systems). The HC-AE will work closely with key learning and clinical decision makers to develop programs that can attract new learners to Capella University. This will be accomplished by leveraging a strategic selling and business development mindset to uncover new and innovative ways to meet customer needs and create business solutions. A thorough understanding of the clinical dimensions affecting today's healthcare system and the ability to articulate the subsequent learning implications of these dimensions a must. The HC-AE will partner with existing Alliance team members to target and penetrate large, complex, national opportunities while also expected to demonstrate individual results with regional opportunities. The HC-AE will also disseminate important customer insights into the new product development process to ensure that Capella degree and non degree programs are effectively designed to meet customer needs in the healthcare space.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop professional relationships with key learning and clinical decision-makers to align Capella University products and services within new and existing accounts.
- Develop and implement ongoing strategic plan focused on business solutions that impact performance, and meet client business needs
- Generate appropriate activities necessary to implement and develop new alliance relationships; including initiating a formal launch of the relationship, development and implementation of tools, active participant in promotional events, such as alliance events, industry trade shows, etc.
- Think critically and strategically, with the ability to construct conceptual solutions based on customer needs.
- Prepare and conduct client presentations to influence key learning and clinical decision-makers within existing and new accounts.
- Make recommendations and implement strategies to increase penetration into the accounts; ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating initiatives
- Participate in Education events and other opportunities associated with your accounts.
- Provide leadership in the continued development of account penetrations, leveraging key programs and overall growth of the ADM team.
- Comfortable calling on and influencing "C" level executives, primarily Chief Learning Officers and/or Chief Nursing Officers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: The Healthcare Account Executive will be an entrepreneurial and professional goal-oriented individual with demonstrated successful accomplishments in the healthcare sales profession. They will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B healthcare sales, calling on healthcare providers, focused on service solutions with some experience in large complex capital sales and/or qualified candidates may also include previous healthcare practitioners (RNs, health care administrators, etc) with the interpersonal skills and drive to succeed in a sales environment.
- Strong track record of effective conceptual selling in the healthcare space.
- Ability to communicate persuasively and clearly orally and in writing, as well as strong public speaking skills; strong customer-centered selling skills.
- Strong understanding of healthcare organizational structures and commonly used terms and language.
