HRIS Analyst

The HRIS Analyst provides HR technology thought leadership.  This role is responsible for HR systems implementation and support, HR data reporting, and HR analytics.  The HRIS Analyst also plays critical data integrity and IT liaison roles.   

The HR Shared Services organization is highly dependent on the foundational HR support provided by the HRIS Analyst.   Technical aptitude, process improvement orientation, consulting skills, attention to detail and teamwork orientation are key factors for success in this role.

Essential functions/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

-Provides HR technology thought leadership for all HR systems/reporting/data needs
- Provides subject matter expertise for all PeopleSoft HR modules and any other HR systems used such as Success Factors, Equity Edge, SharePoint, Excel, etc.
- Leads HR strategic and operational reporting needs
- Researches and resolves HR system issues
- Evaluates and continually improves HRIS systems and processes
- Leads and/or participates in various HR technology projects with HR and IT partners
- Provides technical and tactical support for various HR projects and initiatives such as annual performance management, compensation and benefits processes
- Leads and/or participates in periodic implementations of PeopleSoft bundles and tax updates
- Ensures compliance with mandated reporting requirements such as IPEDS, EEO-1, Vets 100  and the University Fact Sheet
- Develops and administers audit processes that ensure data integrity and compliance
- Leads and/or participates in the design, implementation and administration of Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service applications
- Develops and reports HR analytics and metrics, ensuring relevance through benchmarking of best practices
- Develops strong relationships and serves as primary liaison with IT and Payroll partners
- Facilitates HR system training for HR colleagues
- 3+ years of HRIS experience required
- Experience with PeopleSoft system strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in process improvement initiatives
- Solid understanding of basic principles, practices and standards of Human Resources administration
- Professional, customer service-oriented approach to work in fast-paced, for-profit environment
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize the work of multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Follows through and ensures appropriate resolution of issues or problems
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of business partners
- Strong written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)   
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in working with sensitive and personal information
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems or Business related field preferred. Work experience may substitute the education requirement.
