Mechanical Engineering

Supervise and direct the Mechanical Project engineers to ensure that effective engineering support is provided for respective projects.

Specific duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Manage employee performance within group including performance appraisals, goal setting mentoring, providing training opportunities etc.
* Participate in the selection process for staffing within the group.
* Advise Engineering Manager on a regular basis progress on activities within group.
* Develop and qualify project Engineering design documents.
* Ensure that the required specifications and bills of material are generated to support sales order processing in accordance with specifications agreed with customers.
* Maintain Engineering documents in accordance with Cameron revision control procedures.
* Ensure that technical support is provided for the quotation process including specification review, product/material selection, technical documentation etc.
* Co-ordinate with Quality Assurance to define and specify quality requirements.
* Responsible for discipline technical interface with customers as well as internal departments.
* Assume role of Lead engineer for major projects, assign and oversee personnel and ensure project deliverables are met.
* Ensure personnel are current with applicable codes, standards and best work practices.
* Ensure compliance to Cameron policies and procedures and consistent work practices.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications    Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline required.

Additional requirements and qualifications include:

* At least 5 years experience and proven competency in Structural design, welding processes, materials and Skid Fabrication techniques with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead position.
* Thorough knowledge of Hydraulic / Pneumatic Control systems also required.
* Conversant in AutoCad and or other design related software.
* Working knowledge of respective ASME Specifications and Standards.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding and strong commitment to Cameron Safety policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to function in a fast paced environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
* Working knowledge of SAP a plus.
