Direct Marketing Supervisor

Job Description:



The role of the Direct Marketing Supervisor is to schedule, coordinate and supervise all activities related to executing direct mail programs.  This person will provide supervise a team of Direct Marketing coordinators, ensuring the mail is executed efficiently and effectively, as well as providing support to the Director of Direct Marketing.



·         Supervise day-to-day operations of a direct marketing team including job planning, setup, scheduling, timely execution and vendor relationships.

·         Train staff to maximize team performance, ensuring employees become proficient in all applicable aspects of the direct marketing operation.

·         Oversee proofing process for all offers to ensure accuracy of collateral with matrix, assisting as necessary.

    * Lead and manage multiple projects and assignments ensuring timely execution.
    * Candidate will work with various vendors and department members to insure creative, print production, copy writing, mail house services, e-mail and telemarketing efforts are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
    * Work with Total Rewards, the front desk, the call centers, and other departments to update and train them on direct marketing offers. Work with the internal team members to coordinate the drop schedules of all mailings.

    * Prepares and coordinates Performance Appraisal Feedback reviews of assigned staff, including Development Plans and Action Plans.  Assist DM Director with staff development and retention.  Maintain, train and implement all RM department policies and procedures
    * Strong “multi-tasker” that can execute as an individual and as the Leader/Supervisor with enthusiasm, encouragement in an outgoing and positive approach

    * Communicate with various levels of departmental, property, and regional Senior Management.
    * Must be able to think critically.
    * Research customer related issues in a timely manner.
    * Assist in data verification research.
    * Develop new and maintain existing support materials.
    * Take initiative in moving from one task to the next – assuming greater responsibility.
    * Readily assist other team members in daily responsibilities.
    * Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
    * Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
    * Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
    * Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.  Minimum of 3 years experience with marketing, database management, or the direct mail process.  Previous supervisory experience preferred




    * Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
    * Excellent oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
    * Working knowledge and familiarity with CMS, LMS, EMS, Cognos, WiNET preferred
    * Must have the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
    * Flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift, as business demands require, including holidays and weekends.
    * Must possess excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
    * Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead projects.
    * Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
    * Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
    * Must present a well groomed appearance.
