Team Manager

As the eVA Project Development Team Manager, you will work with Project Management and Client Management to understand priorities to lead the development team to deliver high quality service on schedule and on budget. You will be accountable to the Project Manager and the Client Management for end to end application scoping, planning, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support. You will prioritize and manage development and implementation of enhancements/changes; oversee installations; participate and lead the issue resolution process for application production problems; oversee Operations Team; and participate in Capacity Management and architecture planning.

Job Responsibilities:

You will manage individual workload and work of the development team (consisting of ~25 members) to deliver to agreed upon project milestones; identify/mitigate risks to delivering solution on time; and act as a team leader, providing support and a review point, for Project Managers and multiple Develop Teams (onshore and offshore). You will oversee activities of Development Application Leads, as applicable and provide individuals with constructive feedback as it pertains to individual and team performance; coach staff in technical matters and delivering on other job-related responsibilities; conduct performance reviews, appraisals and personal development planning with team members; and promote effective teamwork and resolve interpersonal issues.

Job Requirements:
• BS/MS or other relevant technical degree
• 8+ years of professional related experience in Java/J2EE and object-oriented application development
• 3+ years experience in leading small to medium size teams
• Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in highly complex existing applications and architectures
• Demonstrate analytic and problem-solving skills, particularly as it relates to application design, development and infrastructure
• Ability to thrive in a high-productive, customer-oriented environment
• Ability to contribute to and manage multiple projects / demands simultaneously
• Ability to work non-standard hours as need arises to support 24x7x365 solution
• Experience in Project Planning

Additional Desired Skills:
• Experience with WebSphere, Weblogic, and Tomcat application servers
• Experience with XML, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Java, and Web Services
• Experience working with Unix operating systems (Solaris), and Oracle Databases
• Experience in estimating level of effort for complex development tasks
• Experience in planning and resource allocations
• Experience with Solaris, Oracle, Ariba Buyer, CGI Advantage, Logi XML, ETL Tools (Talend or Similar)
• Experience with Mobile Development including Mobile Web (HTML5) and IOS and Android application development platforms.
