Project Lead
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence with CGI. CGI is seeking a Project Lead/Systems Analyst to work on-site in our Crystal City, VA office.
You will serve as the liaison between our customers who have a business problem to solve and the IT team who provides the technical solution. The Project Lead/Analyst must be technically savvy, must be able to assume ownership of multiple software projects, and must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Specific Duties:
• Capture and validate JSF stakeholder business requirements
• Capture and validate software requirements
• Produce relevant plans and documentation supporting the project
• Coordinate design and development of the software solution
• Coordinate with IT and customer stakeholders to ensure security, integration, training, and other issues are properly considered and requirements satisfied.
• Coordinate appropriate project and work product reviews
• Produce meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up actions resulting from meetings
• Produce and maintain project schedules (Microsoft Project files)
• Produce and execute test plans and test cases
• Provide management and executive customers with status briefings
• Prepare and deliver release packages for each new or point release.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years of directly related work experience required.
Additional Requirements:
• Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
• Practical knowledge of software system development techniques, including database design, requirements specifications, testing procedures/documentation, etc.
• Strong leadership skills; willingness and ability to assume ownership of multiple software projects.
• Hands-on experience managing software projects
• Experience applying the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience producing project artifacts to include plans, schedules, and supporting artifacts
• Requirements elicitation and analysis.
• Strong leadership skills; ability to assume ownership of multiple software projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Command of the Microsoft Suite of tools (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, etc).
• Experience using PVCS Tracker, Serena Business Manager, or other issue-tracking tools.
• Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work.
• Strong customer service and consultation skills.
• Passionate commitment to quality.
• Experience developing standard operating procedures and documentation
• Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
• Able to work effectively with dynamic, integrated task teams consisting of our staff, subcontractor staff, and Government customer representatives.
• Experience with software development including design, implementation and integration, concept development, planning, requirements definition and analysis, systems design and development, coding and testing, production, deployment, implementation, integration, and software application maintenance.
• Able to conduct and deliver project briefings to the Government customer, other Government organizations/agencies, and our management/staff.
• Sufficiently technically skilled to direct the activities of project staff and assist them with tasking issues. A technical background and real-world experience is necessary, particularly in DoD IT arenas.
• Willing and able to assist in developing new ideas, technologies, solutions, or applications in response to formal and ad hoc customer requests.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as problem-solving skills and the ability to write well-defined and coherent documentation is necessary (ability to translate ideas into clearly, precisely, and correctly written form is required).
• Continual contact and coordination with IT staff, subcontractors and the Government customer to ensure that the work is conducted in a manner acceptable to the customer and Stanley management.
• Experience with quality and process improvement systems including the SEI CMMI and ITIL.
