Job Description

      The Dynamic Synthetic Environment (DSE) Research & Development (R&D) program is a major endeavor that focuses on the creation of a new mission rehearsal and operational decision-making capability. This program will span over several years and various sites in an effort to bring our synthetic environments “to life” and create a synthetic world that will evolve over time. Under DSE, the development of the Common Earth Environment (CEE) will be a differentiating, game-changing improvement that will bring our modeling and simulation expertise into the realm of real-world operations. The CEE Framework provides real-time read and write access to the CDB (Common Database), the Common Earth Environment repository. The framework includes APIs giving access to CDB content, database servers, remote system networking solutions, and run-time database generation capabilities.  The CEE provides runtime correlated, dynamic, and persistent Earth simulations to multiple interacting Synthetic Environment applications.  Examples of CEE simulations are: weather, vehicle, weapon and instructor-controlled interactions with the Earth.
      Participate in the design and development of Common Earth Environment (CEE) Simulations.
      Analyze and evaluate technical solutions to ensure conformance with product architectural vision.
    * Participate in the software development and deployment of CEE products.

Job Qualification

      Bachelor degree in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
      3-5 years of experience.
      Bilingualism in both French and English is required.
      Knowledge of software development processes.
      Knowledge of C++ programming language.
      Real-time system knowledge is an asset.
      Knowledge of the CDB Specification and runtime CDB solutions are assets.
      Experience in Earth (Ephemerides/Sun, atmosphere, terrain, ocean) and entity simulations and their interactions are assets.
