Manager, Quality Assurance & Assessment
Supervises:
Directs all activities of the Department of Quality Assurance, Examinations and Curriculum as well as all audit processes performed internally and by external authorities.
Purpose:
Leads
Provide effective technical leadership through the example of his/her own team accomplishments and through systematic communications.
Sets goals, develops staff, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that project and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of AAIAA.
Liaises
Co-ordinates all requirements related to National and International regulatory requirements with other special fields and with National and International Agengies. Advises and supervises all facilities staff in the function and performance of their duties. Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external departments as well as with contracted agencies
Develops
Provides work directions to all Quality Department staff. Draws up, implements and evaluates staff development in line with annual budget plans.
Monitors and Reports
Ensures compliance with all National and International Regulatory requirements or procedures. Writes technical reports and other documentation for use by engineering staff and management. Sets goals, develops staff, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that project and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of AAIAA.
Represents
Serves in the committees and councils as directed by the Academy Director or Training Manager.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager of Quality Assurance works with the Training Manager and Academy Director to plan, coordinate and initiate project scope and recommend changes. Also responsible for conducting regular independent audits and compile, review and amend policy, where necessary, to comply with regulations at all times.
Any other duties pertaining to Quality Assurance, as directed by the Academy Director or Training Manager.

Skills
Minimum Requirements
•University Graduate with Recognized Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Quality Assurance Management
•10 Years Related Experience of which at least 5 Years as a Quality Assurance Auditor in an Approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization
•Adequately Trained In Quality Assurance In Aircraft Airworthiness/Safety Aspects
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
•Sound knowledge of an EASA Part-66 and EASA Part-147 Organization.
•Good knowledge and Training on Human Factors in Safety Planning.
•Competence and experience of Aircraft Line Maintenance Activities essential.
•Competent at writing clear and concise technical procedures and reports.
Computer literate.
The ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals.
The ability to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally.
The ability to overcome obstacles to cooperation and to foster harmonious relations.
Strong project management skills.
