Technical Support Engineer

Job Purpose Position will join a team of dedicated sales and service engineers, aimed to provide technical analysis/presentation/advice to external and internal customer enquiries. The role also provides technical leadership, sales support, in collaboration with Divisions/BDM’s/marketing within Parker as part of continual product improvement, product rollout, validation and new product/application development, etc Job Description Support of local (Singapore) and regional Process sales team, the TSE proactively seek customers to perform technical presentation on Parker process filtration solution and help resolve customer filtration issues. Perform site and in house laboratory testing, maintaining lab equipment and documentation. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the market place and provide a report, on a monthly basis. Develop technical relationship and accounts to open up sales channel This role is varied and will include activities within a range of core market sectors: namely Bio-Pharma, Pharma, F&B, Fine Chemicals, Oil & Gas and micro-electronics. Knowledge, Skills and Experience required Essential: Degree / Diploma in Science related discipline, preferably biological, chemical, physics or engineering related discipline. 5 – 7 years of related experience in filtration preferably. Experience in managing and handling customers technical enquiries, investigation and technical report writing. A highly self-motivated and results focused individual. Confident in public speaking/presentation. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Driven individual, independent with strong sense of initiative Ability to interact/work effectively with others and be a participative team player. Good PC skills; Excel, PowerPoint Desirable: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preference given to individuals with chemical and oil & gas filtration experience. Position requires occasional travel within ASEAN.
