Master of International Relations
Students who enter into a Master of Arts in International Relations degree program come from many different backgrounds. Some students have an interest in human rights, while others want to learn more about a particular geographic region and its institutions of law. Career options for this degree include all manner of foreign government work, as well as international law. The field of international relations encompasses many different careers that involve diplomacy, laws and relationships between countries. Many schools offer a Master of Arts in International Relations, a graduate program that generally takes two years to complete. More specific concentrations within the field are frequently available for study as concentrations; topics may include international economics, global theory, non-governmental organizations or regional specializations, such as African or Middle East studies. A final capstone project or thesis is usually required.
