Manager, Regional Product

Responsibilities: Monitor and appraise global technology/market trends and competitive landscape pertaining to core mobile business Facilitate ongoing sharing of learning and best practices between regional associates, and to identify and seed collaboration opportunities that drive scale and group synergy Support the planning and execution of bi-annual Sales, Marketing and Product Forum participated by senior executives from the regional associates Develop strategy and plan for the identified regional initiatives, and to seek internal management buy-in Work closely with regional associates to develop specific work plans for the identified regional initiatives, and to seek commitment from stake-holders within associates’ organisation for end-to-end implementation Source and evaluate vendor proposals/solutions, including vendor negotiation, to fulfill implementation requirements of regional initiatives; and provide recommendation to associates on the preferred vendor proposal/solution for implementation Provide support to associates on implementation of regional initiatives and specific areas of need Support ongoing operation of a regional knowledge hub that captures, analyses and disseminates latest industry happenings to internal and external audiences.Support the Devices, SIM, Mobile Data & Customer Analytics tracks of Regional Products KPIs: Complete implementation of new regional initiatives Provide support to associates on specific areas of request Increase revenue contribution and/or cost saving from regional initiatives Achieve market differentiation, time-to-market and / or exclusivity for specific telco services Requirements: Degree from recognized university At least 5 years in Product Development or Product Management in a mobile operator or telecom vendor environment Good to have experience working with multiple mobile operators from diverse markets Good to have experience in vendor management and contract negotiation Good to have knowledge of the Asia Pacific and South Asia mobile consumer markets (outside Singapore) Knowledge of mobile network and mobile technology evolution In-depth knowledge in mobile devices and operating systems, IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), RCS (Rich Communication Services) Good command of written / spoken English and communication skill, ability to converse in Asian languages such as Mandarin, Malay or Bahasa Indonesian will be an added advantage Result-orientated and possess enterprising and entrepreneurial qualities Good negotiation, presentation, project management, people and interpersonal skills Work Experience5 Year(s)
