Data Monetization (Strategy & Analytics)
Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Understand SingTel’s business strategy & vision and assess how data monetization fits into overall SingTel’s objectives Formulate our data monetization strategy by determining, among other factors, the following: what are the use cases for our customer data and the client needs what is the potential impact on client business and the size of the opportunity for SingTel where can SingTel be distinctive –in providing easy access to its data, or through analytics what does success look like for SingTel and what are the key success factors for SingTel Develop and manage a series of pilots with selected partners to validate the data monetization strategy, extracting key learnings and refining the strategy and expectations accordingly Lead a small team of 4 to 5 persons to translate strategy to execution, including defining a detailed action plan with clear revenue targets and milestones, and managing its implementation. Leadership will be required for: Partner management: Working through targeted partners to ensure the success and improve our overall value proposition. The Director will be expected to (a) identify potential partnerships and assist in structuring new agreements, convincing potential partners of the merits of a partnership, and aid in negotiating and obtaining signed agreement.; (b) Deliver mutual commitments and assess the performance and results of the partnership; and (c) Winding down the partnership, for instance when its objectives have been met or cannot be met, or when the partner adjusts priorities Operations: Work with GDL Business Units and Associates to ensure execution of data monetization plan, including marketing and sales as well as implementing commitment and implementations with partners People Management skills – to coach, guide and develop the team to deliver results. Requirements: Qualifications A Bachelors Degree, an MBA will be an added advantage. Experience At least 8 years Telecom experience or Marketing Data Services industry, with managerial experience in leading a team Having worked across cultures, countries and environments will be an advantage Technical/Professional Skills Business, financial & investment analytics Project management Business Management Past experience in managing c-suite interactions and relationships Non-Technical/Soft Skills Skilled negotiator, strategic thinker, with refined business acumen and exemplary communication/ presentation skills Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment Sufficient technical aptitude to understand and influence technology issues
