Technical Officer (Fuel Management)

Job Description

  • To lead a technician in fuel oil/ diesel delivery and daily fuel transfer and
  • To assist Senior Technical Officer in the supervision of servicing/maintenance work carried out by the contractors and sectional staff
  • To prepare fuel returns and other station technical reports on weekly, monthly and yearly basis and fuel consignment reports
  • To assist Senior Technical Officer in monitoring daily fuel consumption computations by technicians
  • To monitor natural gas leakage check and metering readings discrepancy check
  • To purchase of minor spares

Qualification and Experience
  • Diploma in engineering from a recognized local institution with 1 year of relevant experience
 
Preferred Knowledge
  • Knowledge of power plant engineering
  • Knowledge of ASTM method of gauging and calculation for fuel oil
  • Knowledge of OMI – Oil Spill level 1 response
  • Fuel storage and dispensing systems.
  • Fuel management reconciliation techniques.
  • Petroleum industry standards, EPA and state regulations pertaining to Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems

Skills
  • IT skills such as application of Microsoft Office software
  • Meticulous in numerical analysis
