Dockworker Lead

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Reports to the Terminal Manager, assisting with leading terminal operational activities. Directs work of outbound dockworkers to efficiently sort, handle, and load freight into and unload it from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. This position routinely uses pallet jacks and forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight including shipments of Hazardous Materials freight. May perform office clerical functions.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

    * Previous LTL supervisory or operations experience strongly preferred!
    * Exceptional people and communication skills
    * Motivational and organizational skills
    * Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
    * Knowledge of safe lifting techniques
    * Knowledge of proper loading/unloading techniques
    * Computer literate (Word, Excel, Email)
    * Customer service relations
    * Record keeping and filing
