Head Enterprise Architecture Office
Essential Function - To head up the enterprise architecture office. To ensure that technology groups have the capabilities to deliver high quality, rigorous technology designs at both the enterprise and the solution levels within agreed toolsets against agreed architecture standards. This will be achieved by ensuring that a coaching and mentoring program is implemented and delivered through the PI technology community. - To ensure that the established and agreed technology governance processes are adhered to by all members of the PI technology community - To ensure that appropriate quality activities are undertaken on the PI enterprise estate. This will be achieved by liaising with the technical quality team within the PI organization. The activities will include undertaking technology reviews, audits and peer reviews of products against agreed standards and patterns - To manage and maintain the enterprise model which represents the technology estate within PI - To liaise and advise senior stakeholders and management team members within the PI organization - To be involved with procurement initiatives and build relationships with PI partners - To act as line manager the members of the Architecture Office. Relationships Reports To: Senior Director for Enterprise Architecture Directly Supervises: Members of the Enterprise Architecture Office Provides Work Direction to Principal and Senior Engineers/Architects ,Business Analysts as required Works Closely with Senior management in PMG, Operations, Alliance Services, Business Development and Technology, TQM and Corporate IT External Relationships: members of the Technology Ecosystem Key Accountabilities - Carry out architectural assessment activities for new projects within their domain - Ensure the Enterprise Architecture model is maintained and used for all projects - Provide leadership to the technical community for their domain, across Perceptive - Assist the Technical Community on Architectural matters within approved projects. - Act as a single point of contact for general architectural matters and decisions - To work with PMG and Business Development on the strategies for our solutions - To lead discussions with Technology suppliers on their area of domain - To take a proactive role in the PI Architecture Community and demonstrate a collaborative approach - To demonstrate an understanding of the total PI product offerings via active involvement in architectural activities - To demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the wider business goals and objectives - To demonstrate general leadership behaviors in their day -o day duties. - To ensure that social business tools and techniques are implemented and used across the Perceptive Technical community - Undertake the full range of duties relevant to the leadership, management and development of the team to ensure their performance meets and or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals/objectives - Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner - Participate in formal staff review processes e.g. performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescales. Skills - Deep technical knowledge across several technology stacks and domains - A business savvie operator who bases everyday on the value delivered - A self-starter who is confident in their ability and will challenge where this is constructive - A team player - A leader - UML modeling (Using Enterprise Architecture tools) - TOGAF Certified (Archimate) - Awareness of Social Business tools and techniques - Commercial understanding and awareness - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills - Accomplished presenter - Stakeholder management - Client focused approach to work - A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning - Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail - Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork. *LI-SN1 Experience: Education - Professional qualifications - University graduate Language Skills - English Minimum Work Experience - 5 years + experience in a lead enterprise architecture role - 10 years + experience in a senior technical role in an IT organisation
