Regulatory Specialist
Essential Job Functions:
* Support ongoing well activities by understanding regulatory requirements and submitting necessary paperwork to state and federal regulatory agencies.
* Advise management of federal, state and local regulatory compliance requirements and submit and monitor all necessary regulatory filings.
* Develop and maintain all necessary permits; communicate with internal departments as well as regulatory agencies to resolve any non-compliance or permitting issues.
* Represent Oasis before federal, state and local regulatory agencies; facilitate discussions between Oasis staff and agency personnel.
* Coordinate as needed with outside counsel to determine relevant regulations and their ramifications
* Research, interpret and deliver factual information relative to regulatory requirements for all wells.
* Prepare monthly reports to account for water disposal activities; this includes the allocation of injected water volumes to the source wells, monthly payments to well owners, and monthly reports to state regulatory agencies.
* As needed or requested, other activities to support well operations, drilling activities, audits and accounting obligations.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of experience
* Minimum 6 years of industry experience related to oil and gas regulatory compliance
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must. Influencing, consulting and mentoring skills will be helpful.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and applicable software
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with North Dakota and Montana Regulatory Agencies
