Manager-finance, Global Pricing

Drive financial modelling and analysis for different compounds/ combinations/ indications/ markets and translate the results in impactful business recommendations for pricing and market access strategy and decisions through product lifecycle. Business case building and valuation to support GPMA strategy and decision-making: Act as business partner to Market Access / Market Pricing Director, driving business case development resulting in recommendations for pricing and market access strategy and decisions Engage with the relevant cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, TechOps, Forecasting, Portfolio Management, Regional and Global Finance etc.) to gather, cross-check and validate information and assumptions for base case/scenario building/sensitivity analysis (e.g. price band based on efficacy, safety, competition; price and volume development over time, price elasticity, revenue deductions, royalties / milestones, COGS, M&S expenses, probability of success, impact of patent expiry/generic entry, tax & finance considerations and other drivers) Communicate effectively to stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the duration of the project Balance different points of view and translate outputs of models and analysis in impactful business recommendations and quality business insights New launches preparation and business support throughout the product lifecycle: Analyze actual and forecasted data on Pricing, Volume, Revenue Deductions and other relevant information in internal and external financial, pricing and management information systems and databases Together with Market Pricing Function, follow up and consolidate up to date information on international pricing referencing rules and other factors shaping international pharmaceutical pricing environment Lead regular launch sequence meetings to achieve launch sequence optimization: drive timely and quality inputs from Regional Pricing and Market Access for launch sequence analysis, run launch sequence models and recommend solutions for the team review and decision Support Pricing and Market Access Functions in strategic planning process Process innovation and improvement Implement best practices/new frameworks to drive consistency in financial analysis approach across compounds/ brands/ markets Leverage and optimize available resources, technology, reporting systems and databases to increase simplicity and automation Ensure business cases and financial models and calculations (e.g. NPV, eNPV, IRR, profitability for the business cases/scenarios) are compliant with Novartis processes and standards Desired Profile MBA or University degree in Finance / Business Administration / Economics English, additional languages desirable 5 years of experiences in financial analysis, financial modelling, financial, project management. Good business sense and maturity to challenge input. Pharma experience or an undergraduate degree in healthcare related field a plus Experience 5 - 8 Years Industry Type Pharma / Biotech / Clinical Research Role Finance/Budgeting Manager
